According to French media, Manchester United has been offered the chance to sign Marseille striker Arkadiusz Milik. According to journalist Karim Bennani of GFFN, the French giants are content to let the 28-year-old go this summer. However, with Jorge Sampaoli no longer in charge, Milik appears to be out of Igor Tudor’s Marseille plans, despite scoring 20 goals in all competitions last season. Anthony Martial impressed in pre-season, but his hamstring injury on the eve of the new season highlighted the need for reinforcements even more. Milik has scored 10+ goals in all competitions in his last four seasons, and having also scored for Napoli and Ajax, the 62-year-old Poland international has proven he can score in Europe’s top leagues. Marseille’s number nine has suffered several serious knee injuries throughout his career, but he has always recovered and continued to score goals. Milik, who is also left-footed, would provide United with a focal point due to his physical prowess. The Pole is a wildcard option, but time is running out for Manchester United’s transfer business, and Ten Hag desperately needs to sign new players before the window closes.
